There is a neat modification you can take advantage of to add an image to your WordPress profile. This feature will add a personal touch to your comments on every website that can sign in with your WordPress account.
Notice in the image below that it’s much more attractive to have a personalized image as opposed to the default WordPress user icon.
All you have to do is go to Gravatar.com and sign up for a free account. You can add whatever email that you have attached to your WordPress profile to your Gravatar account and add an image to it. Now your email has a gravatar image attached to it, so whenever you leave a comment using that address, the image will show up.
This setup is a great way to draw more eyes to your comments. Other than having a great comment, the eyes will likely first go to the comments that have images in front of them. You can raise your rate of being read and possibly clicked (free traffic).
If you need to find out what email address is associated with your WordPress profile, simply log into WordPress. Go to the ‘Users’ menu and select ‘Your Profile.’ Then you can add or change what email you have attached to your profile. This is the same email you want to attach an image to at Gravatar.com.
It’s so simple that you really should do this right away! It will surely bring more clicks, and possibly fresh leads and sales to your blog.
Until next time,
